Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans to deliver goods safely and efficiently to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and vehicle safety.
- Load and unload cargo using proper handling equipment and secure loads properly.
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and vehicle mileage records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety protocols, and DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and ability to navigate complex city routes.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle checks.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
