Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A/B CDL) for local and regional routes in NYC metro area
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs promptly
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and NYC traffic laws
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and load optimization
- Maintain professional communication with clients and warehouse personnel
- Secure cargo and maintain vehicle cleanliness during all operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and delivery regulations
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening (mandatory)
- Basic knowledge of electronic logging devices (ELD)
