Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks over various routes in and around the Columbus area and surrounding regions.
- Manage cargo loading and unloading to ensure secure transport and damage prevention.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and adhere to all hours-of-service regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure the vehicle interior and exterior are kept clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Current DOT Medical Card and valid DOT physical.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and cargo securement.
