Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight and balance standards.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records as required by law.
- Navigate complex routes and traffic patterns in El Paso and surrounding areas.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL license required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (preferred).
- Clean driving record with no DUIs or major traffic violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- U.S. citizenship or legal right to work in the United States.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
