Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B CDL) for long-haul and regional routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation (BOLs, manifests)
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Secure cargo and handle specialized freight as required
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass DOT physical exam
- Knowledge of Washington D.C. metro area roadways
- HAZMAT endorsement preferred (training provided)
- Flexibility for overnight/weekend travel as needed
- Strong communication and time-management skills
