Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution and safety.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols to ensure the well-being of the team and cargo.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience (Class A).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving techniques.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays.
