Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and FMCSA regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo integrity during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members regarding delivery status and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is mandatory.
- 2+ years of verifiable over-the-road (OTR) or local truck driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong knowledge of road maps and navigation tools.
