Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional and long-haul routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate trip documentation
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight using appropriate equipment when required
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
- Plan routes to optimize delivery schedules and fuel efficiency
- Maintain clean driving record and logbooks per DOT standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexibility for overnight trips and variable schedules
- Strong navigation skills and route knowledge
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
- TWIC card or ability to obtain required clearances
