Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional deliveries across Virginia and surrounding states
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Secure and verify cargo to prevent damage during transit
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Collaborate with dock teams for efficient loading/unloading operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and random drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS systems
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with proven attendance record
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of freight documentation and bill of lading procedures
