Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport goods within Indianapolis and surrounding areas
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and timely deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Handle hazardous materials training/certifications if applicable
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license required (no violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR and ability to pass background/drug screening
- Knowledge of Indianapolis metro routes and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Weekend availability (Saturday/Sunday shifts, 6 AM - 6 PM)
- DOT medical certification current or obtainable
