Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van and refrigerated trailers) on assigned weekend routes
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and DOT regulationsMaintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging devices
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Ensure timely and secure delivery of goods
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Knowledge of Michigan roadways and traffic patterns
- Flexibility to work weekends and occasional overtime
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
