Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on designated routes throughout Virginia and surrounding areas.
- Perform detailed pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely using appropriate lifting equipment and techniques.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and daily logs.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery status.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B (required).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and valid DOT physical card.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Excellent driving record with no more than one preventable accident in the last 3 years.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and irregular schedules as required.
- Strong knowledge of road maps, navigation systems, and traffic patterns.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labor tasks.
