Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for weekend deliveries across NYC metropolitan area
- Perform pre-trip inspections and document maintenance logs to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to optimize delivery routes and maintain on-time performance
- Handle specialized freight requiring temperature control and secure transport protocols
- Maintain clean driving record and adhere to all federal/state transportation laws
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Collaborate with warehouse staff for efficient loading/unloading procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Strong knowledge of NYC traffic patterns and delivery regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation systems
- Weekend availability (Saturday/Sunday shifts) and flexible weekday hours
- HAZMAT certification preferred but not required
