Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations
- Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation required for transportation of goods
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Adhere to delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely arrivals
- Report any accidents or incidents immediately to management
Qualifications
- Valid CDL license (Class A or Class B, depending on the vehicle)
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Weekend availability is mandatory
