Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles on highways and local roads throughout North Carolina.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo using proper handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) in strict adherence to DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers and receivers.
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately to dispatch.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL with required endorsements.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Must have a clean driving record (MVR) and no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
