Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Drive commercial trucks and vans in a safe, efficient, and legal manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and Unload Cargo: Secure freight properly, perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and document any discrepancies.
- Maintain Logs: Accurately complete daily logs (DVIR), delivery receipts, and mileage records as required by DOT regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel to ensure satisfaction and timely deliveries.
- Maintain Equipment: Keep the vehicle clean and in excellent mechanical condition, reporting any maintenance needs immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL License: Must possess a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Clean Driving Record: No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years and no DUIs in the last 7 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, pass a DOT physical examination, and have the stamina to work long hours.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
