Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers over various terrains and weather conditions.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight limits and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and comply with all FMCSA and company policies.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS and road maps to meet delivery deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding cargo status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with the proper endorsements.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safety protocols.
- Basic computer skills for logging and communication.
