Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport cargo to designated destinations in and around Sacramento.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery documentation.
- Load and unload freight safely, ensuring cargo security and proper placement.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and Department of Transportation regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of California.
- Clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3-5 years).
- Current Medical Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical maintenance and vehicle operation.
