As a part-time driver, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain, ensuring timely deliveries to our valued clients across the New York metro area.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing items.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and electronic logging devices (ELD) in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by adhering to delivery schedules and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate class and endorsements (Class A or B).
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Current DOT Medical Card and DOT drug screen on file.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Basic knowledge of GPS navigation systems and smartphone apps for route planning.
- Physically capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling items weighing up to 50 lbs.
