Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently to deliver freight on schedule.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual labor as required.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and delivery records (ELD/DOT compliant).
- Interact professionally with customers and handle cargo with care.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding driving behavior.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (or eligible for training).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Clear driving record and willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
