Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for local and regional routes during overnight hours
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance issues promptly
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines in the Tampa metro area
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all traffic laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to work independently overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Tampa Bay area routes and traffic patterns
- Basic knowledge of electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong attention to detail and safety consciousness
