Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for nighttime freight transport
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes while maintaining accurate logs
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams
- Manage loading/unloading operations at client facilities
- Maintain clean, organized vehicle interior and exterior
- Respond professionally to route changes and delivery exceptions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong knowledge of California highway systems and regulations
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent time management and route optimization abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
