Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A or B trucks on local and regional routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Load and unload cargo safely using proper lifting techniques.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (ELD) and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Ensure cargo is secured and protected against damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Keep the vehicle and immediate work area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the required endorsements.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and DOT compliance.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Good problem-solving skills and customer service attitude.
