Responsibilities
- Safely transport goods across designated NYC routes while adhering to DOT regulations
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logging
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient delivery schedules and route optimization
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of freight with proper handling techniques
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for timely deliveries in high-traffic urban environments
- Communicate professionally with clients and warehouse personnel
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all NYC traffic laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable CDL experience
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and delivery zones
- DOT medical certification and required endorsements (Hazmat preferred)
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings/nights
- Pass background check and drug screening
