Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, flatbed) to deliver goods on schedule
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle documentation
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and securement techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Navigate efficiently through Milwaukee metro area and regional routes
- Maintain clean driving record and report any incidents immediately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening per DOT requirements
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and route planning tools
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- hazmat endorsement preferred but not required
