Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight safely and efficiently throughout Southern California.
- Ensure timely delivery of cargo to customers in Long Beach and surrounding regions.
- Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain compliance.
- Secure cargo properly and adhere to all DOT and FMCSA safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and logbooks.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Conduct daily vehicle maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and safety protocols.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
