Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers safely and legally in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads for transport.
- Maintain accurate records, including Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs, delivery receipts, and delivery manifests.
- Navigate efficiently to meet delivery deadlines while adhering to traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the proper endorsements.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a post-offer drug screen and background check.
- Previous experience in truck driving or logistics is preferred but not required for qualified candidates.
