Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles safely and efficiently in all weather conditions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, company policies, and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) and current DOT medical card.
- At least 1 year of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting.
