Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently on highways and local routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring product integrity during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks to keep the fleet in top condition.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clear motor vehicle record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
- Basic math skills for cargo documentation.
