Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on highways and local routes.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations, FMCSA rules, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and delivery paperwork.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
- Maintain a clean driving record and professional appearance.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable truck driving experience (preferred).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and map reading.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic computer skills for logging and paperwork.
