Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B CDL) in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (Driver's Daily Log) and vehicle inspection reports.
- Navigate efficiently to meet delivery schedules and time windows.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Current DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of local Oakland and Bay Area routes.
