Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) in accordance with all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date daily logs (DOT compliant) and mileage records.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel regarding delivery times and issues.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the cab and trailer at all times.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B (depending on role).
- Must possess a clean driving record with no DUI or serious traffic violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a mandatory Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and criminal background check.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects (up to 50lbs) and sitting for extended periods.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.
