Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to ensure timely delivery of cargo.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all DOT regulations and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized during and after shifts.
- Adhere to company policies regarding safety, customer service, and professional driving conduct.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Current DOT Medical Card (or willing to obtain).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a similar role.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo handling procedures.
- Basic computer literacy for logging purposes and communication.
