Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in a safe, efficient, and legal manner.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight to designated customer locations in the region.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) on file.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive DOT drug screen and background check.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
