Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers in a safe, efficient, and legal manner on all road types.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate records on the Electronic Logging Device (ELD) and all required paperwork.
- Navigate routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and customer service standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding cargo status and any delays.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and traffic laws at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record (no DUIs or serious violations in the last 3 years).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform minor vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
