Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in a safe, efficient, and legally compliant manner.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklift, straps, chains) ensuring weight distribution is accurate.
- Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to verify safety standards and document any defects.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and ensure all delivery paperwork is completed correctly and on time.
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers and receivers at each stop.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays, traffic, or mechanical issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to submit to a background check and drug screening.
