Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport goods on established routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Manage loading/unloading operations and verify cargo documentation
- Navigate complex urban traffic conditions while maintaining delivery schedules
- Maintain professional driver image and represent company values at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELD) and navigation systems
- Strong knowledge of California traffic laws and route planning
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience with hazmat or tanker endorsements preferred
