Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles safely and efficiently across the Houston metro area and regional routes.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while strictly adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required documentation.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper cargo securement during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Keep the truck and cab clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT medical card and valid DOT physical.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement methods and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with Houston area logistics hubs is a plus.
