Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (trucks/vans) for regional deliveries
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate logbooks
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Optimize routes for timely deliveries in Chicago metro area
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Ensure cargo security and compliance with safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Chicago area roadways and regulations
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
