Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all FMCSA and company regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (DOT logs) and daily mileage reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and management regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL license (Must be current and in good standing).
- A clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, road signs, and safe driving practices.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends.
