Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe, efficient, and legal manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in optimal condition.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage and ensure safe delivery.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, shippers, and receivers to resolve any delivery issues.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company policies regarding hours of service and drug-free workplace.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and map reading.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery schedules.
- Valid Medical Card and endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, Doubles/Triples preferred).
