Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch for real-time route adjustments and delivery confirmations
- Ensure secure handling of specialized cargo (temperature-controlled, hazardous materials as needed)
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading and delivery interactions
- Utilize electronic logging devices (ELD) for compliance and efficiency tracking
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience or equivalent training certification
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (required for employment)
- Proficiency in route navigation and GPS technology
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in variable weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and time management capabilities
- Flexibility for irregular schedules, overnight trips, and weekend work
