Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul routes across Georgia and neighboring states
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and ensure timely shipment completion
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Handle specialized freight requiring temperature control or hazardous materials endorsement
- Represent ProStar Logistics with professionalism in customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Hazmat endorsement preferred but not required
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including overnight routes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
