Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport time-sensitive shipments
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Optimize delivery routes for efficiency and on-time performance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients throughout transit
- Handle hazardous materials (HAZMAT) endorsement preferred
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean MVR (3+ years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and random drug screenings
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong geographical knowledge of Virginia and surrounding states
- HAZMAT certification a significant plus
