Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently in strict compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical integrity and safety compliance.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit and adhere to weight distribution laws.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all necessary delivery documentation.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and uphold the highest standards of customer service.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding routes, delays, and cargo status.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 5 years.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving) in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road signs, and defensive driving techniques.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and occasional weekend work as required.
