Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for regional deliveries
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch for optimal route planning and on-time delivery
- Ensure secure handling of diverse freight types including dry van and refrigerated
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- Current DOT medical certification and Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Proven ability to navigate Michigan's metropolitan and rural routes
- Strong knowledge of freight handling and securement procedures
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
