Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers to transport freight within the 11-state Southeast region
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and pre/post-trip documentation
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization and on-time deliveries
- Load/unload shipments with proper securing techniques per DOT regulations
- Resolve delivery exceptions and communicate with customers professionally
- Adhere to all FMCSA safety protocols and company policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation management systems
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and freight handling protocols
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and work in varying weather conditions
- Must reside within 50 miles of Nashville, TN
