Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local/regional deliveries
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Maintain accurate logs and electronic logging device (ELD) compliance
- Represent the company professionally with all clients and stakeholders
- Operate in all weather conditions while prioritizing safety
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Flexibility for overnight stays and irregular schedules
- Knowledge of Illinois roadways and regulations
