Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL required) to transport goods across North Carolina and Southeastern states
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Collaborate with dispatch to optimize routes and ensure timely deliveries
- Adhere to all safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Load/unload shipments with proper equipment handling
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must pass background check and MVR verification
