Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and commercial vehicles within NYC metro area
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Deliver freight to commercial and residential locations on tight schedules
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Handle time-sensitive shipments with precision and care
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and delivery routes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends
